The 10th Annual London Whiffle Ball Tournament was held on August 2nd 2008. Our team was the Jacksonville Suns for the 5th straight year, and our final record was 0-4.

Our team consisted of;

• Kevin Adamission
• Josh Trudgeon
• One of Jeremy and Nathan’s co-workers
• Josh Bernard
• Me

Our first game was against the Astros, and well we got our butts beat thanks in part of me turning into Jason Grilli 2.0 and giving up homerun after homerun.

The 2nd was against the Curve, I sat out this game and we came up short also. Jeremy had a little beef with the opposing pitcher because every time she released the ball, she a let out a WOOMPH noise and that got annoying pretty quick. Come to think of it, everybody on our team had a beef with her.

The 3rd game pitted us against the Thunder, and this game I finally got the proverbial monkey off my back by hitting my first homerun ever. I had a second homerun later on in the game but the umpire screwed me out of it by calling it foul, even though it went directly over the foul pole, (did I mention that he was wearing an Ohio State hat?). Well anyways, the outcome was still the same and that was another L.

Our 4th and final game was against the Silverhawks from South Bend, Indiana and we tried our best to keep it competitive but we ended up losing.

I really think we need to Barry Bonds’ trainer to hook us up with some ‘roids for next year. I don’t think there is any drug testing at Tournament so I am pretty sure we can get away with it. So what if I get bad acne and my junk starts to shrink, I would definitely trade that in just for a shot at Wiffle Ball glory, (well maybe not the junk shrinkage part).
